Following the teaser that gave a glimpse of the Tata Harrier facelift’s exterior, the carmaker has now released another video showing the new SUV’s interior. It’s the first major refresh inside and out for the Tata SUV since its introduction in 2019. Bookings for the SUV are set to open soon.
What’s New?
As per the teaser, the 2023 Tata Harrier facelift will get an ambient lighting strip running the width of the dashboard and a new 2-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata logo as seen on the new Tata Nexon and Tata Nexon EV. The short clip also reveals a fully digital driver’s display, and a bigger touchscreen system (could be the 10.25-inch and 12.3-inch units, respectively, from the new Nexon EV).

Exterior Changes Detailed
On the outside, the SUV’s previous teaser has already confirmed the presence of a long LED DRL strip connecting the sleeker indicators. The Tata Harrier facelift will get the new Nexon-like vertically stacked split-LED headlights and a revised grille design.
The biggest change to its profile will be the redesigned alloy wheels. Tata will also offer it with dynamic turn indicators and connected LED taillights.
Features Expected On Board

Apart from the new displays, we expect the carmaker to continue to equip the SUV with ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, and wireless phone charging.
Its safety kit should comprise six airbags (as standard), a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX anchor points, and a range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Two Engine Options
The Tata Harrier facelift is likely to be offered with a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (170PS/280Nm). We expect it to get both manual and DCT automatic transmissions. Its existing 2-litre diesel unit (170PS/350Nm) should be retained with the update, with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.

Price Announcement And Competition
We believe the Tata Harrier facelift will launch sometime in November, with prices likely to start at Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV will go up against the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, and the higher variants of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
