The facelifted Tata Harrier is now available in four new broad variants: Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Fearless
Tata took the wraps off its 2023 Harrier and also opened the order books for the SUV for a token amount of Rs 25,000. The updated SUV boasts not only a refreshed design and new features but also revised variant names: Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Fearless. Here are the key feature highlights for each variant of the 2023 Tata Harrier.

The Smart variant of the Tata Harrier offers all the essential features, both inside and outside. Notable exterior features include a connected light setup and projector headlights. Inside, it boasts a digital driver's display, automatic AC, and necessary safety features such as six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and hill start assist. However, this variant does not include front fog lamps or an infotainment system.

The Pure variant primarily adds amenities such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen, steering-mounted audio controls, a rear camera, and a rear-wiper washer compared to the base-spec Smart variant. However, it retains the same fabric upholstery setup.

The Adventure trim looks more premium with its 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and leatherette seat upholstery. Additionally, it comes equipped with features like cruise control, push-button start/stop, multi-color mood lighting, and a rear defogger. It also includes multi-drive modes and terrain response modes.

The main attractions for the 2023 Tata Harrier Adventure+ variant over the previous versions are the panoramic sunroof and added safety features.
Adventure+ Dark & Adventure+ A
Tata is also offering the Adventure+ variant in two more derivatives: Adventure+ Dark and Adventure+ A. The Adventure+ Dark features a bigger 19-inch blacked-out alloy wheels, while the Adventure+ A gets advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including adaptive cruise control, along with a driver doze off alert feature.

In the Fearless variant, the 2023 Tata Harrier comes equipped with all the best-looking exterior and interior features like dynamic turn indicators featuring welcome and goodbye animations, and 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 9-speaker JBL audio system. It also adds powered and ventilated front seats and dual-zone AC over the Harrier Adventure+ variant. Additionally, its safety kit includes hill descent control.

The Fearless+ is the top-of-the-line variant of the 2023 Tata Harrier which gets a gesture controlled powered tailgate, upgraded 10-speaker JBL sound system, and full suite of advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features as well, including the adaptive cruise control.
The safety is further enhanced by the 7 airbags (including one knee airbag), and emergency and breakdown call assist buttons.

Fearless Dark Editions
Both the Fearless and Fearless+ variants also get their Dark edition trim, with which both these SUVs not only get a Oberon Black exterior shade, but they also feature 19-inch blacked-out aero insert alloy wheels.
Powertrain Check
The 2023 Tata Harrier is powered by the same 2-litre diesel engine as before, which makes 170PS and 350Nm. The unit comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Expected Price & Rivals
Tata is expected to launch the facelifted Harrier in the coming weeks with prices starting from Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on the MG Hector, 5-seater variants of the Mahindra XUV700, and more equipped variants of the Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos.
