2023 Tata Safari Facelift’s Variant-wise Features Revealed

The Tata Safari facelift will be sold in four broad variants: Smart, Pure, Adventure and Accomplished
The Tata Safari facelift broke cover recently, although only in the form of images. Its bookings have been open from October 6 for Rs 25,000 both online and at Tata’s pan-India dealerships. Tata revealed various details of the new SUV, including its updated variant lineup, features list and even the powertrain on offer. The Safari facelift is available in four broad variants: Smart, Pure, Adventure, Accomplished.

The base-spec Smart variant offers more than just the basics. While you don’t get anything in terms of infotainment, it does offer LED projector headlights, a connected LED DRL strip, fabric upholstery, and loads of convenience and safety features.

In the second-from-base Pure variant, the only upgrade on the exterior is a shark fin antenna, while its cabin remains almost the same as the one seen on the base-spec Smart. That said, the Safari’s Pure variant does come with dual 10.25-inch displays, rear wiper and washer, and a reversing camera.

With the Adventure trim, the SUV gets more premium on the outside thanks to 18-inch alloy wheels and front LED fog lamps. Tata has even equipped the Safari’s Adventure trim with a lot of comfort and convenience features including a height-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, and cruise control.
Tata Safari Adventure+ Variant (over Adventure)
The Tata Safari facelift is also available in the Adventure+ and Adventure+A variants, which get the following feature additions over the regular Adventure trim:

With the Adventure+ variant, the Safari gains a lot more comfort and convenience features along with some helpful safety technology as well. This includes voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera, and front parking sensors.
Tata Safari Adventure+A Variant (over Adventure+)
Tata is also offering the facelifted Safari with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) from the Adventure+ trim onwards, in an exclusive Adventure+A variant. It comes with 11 key ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control (only on AT variant), and also gets advanced ESP with driver drowsiness alert.

The Safari facelift’s top-spec Accomplished trim gets a lot of distinctive touches on the outside including 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, dynamic turn indicators, and rear fog lamps. Its comfort and convenience equipment set has gone up as well, as the SUV is loaded with a bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen, powered and ventilated front row seats, and seven airbags.

The Accomplished+ variant is provided with more connectivity features over the Accomplished trim. It also comes with second row seat ventilation and ADAS tech.

Tata Safari Dark
Tata is offering the Safari’s Adventure+, Accomplished, and Accomplished+ variants in the Dark edition. All get the #Dark badging, 19-inch black alloy wheels, and an all-black cabin theme.
Powertrain On Offer
The Safari facelift has carried over the existing model’s 2-litre diesel unit (170PS/350Nm), with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.
Launch And Price
We expect Tata to launch the facelifted Safari in the coming weeks. It could start from Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom), and will continue to go up against the Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector Plus.
