2nd International NGV 2010 ceremony to be held in Mumbai

The 2nd International Natural Gas for Vehicles ceremony, NGV India 2010 will be held in Mumbai. The program scheduled from 24 to 26 November 2010 at Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), will showcase trade exhibition.

The program will be hosted by Mr David Aitken, member of the Advisory Committee of NGV India and the distinguished Guest for the Flag Off ceremony on 13th November would be the reputed and Honourable Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Shri Murali Deora.

As per the reports, India is regarded as the 5th biggest industry in the natural gas vehicles. The progress in the particular sector is immense, as per the stats from the industry sources. The CNG pipeline in India will be spreading in 15 states and will reach to 160,000,000 citizens, which will put India at the number one position in investment in the Natural Gas in the world.

The ideology of 2010 NGV India is “Meeting the Demands of India's Surging NGV Growth”. The conference will feature various agendas on fulfilling the demands of the future needs of NGV. The program includes lists of various schemes and plans such as keynote from various speakers, inclusive plenary and technical session on the NGV's future in India, the focal point of discussions will be the supply chain, vehicle supply and safety features. The conference will focus on OEMs and the latest technology developed for NGV which will include automobiles from light vehicles to the heavy wheelers / vehicles. Various automobile companies will participate in the conference and will give presentations, the list includes big names from private and government sectors such as Tata Motors Tata Arai, SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers), MSRTC (Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation) and BEST.

In the league of Eco friendly vehicles, a lot of international players are participating in the green vehicle drive. The reason for the increase in eco drive is to build awareness among the public. Moreover the government is taking firm steps in controlling emissions. The auto mobile giants such as, Toyota Motors, General Motors, Nissan Motors, Honda and other manufacturers are planning to come with EV and hybrid versions cars.

As per the studies and researches conducted worldwide, China is an upcoming market for the eco friendly cars, it is expected that the demand will grow by 7.3 per cent if pushed by China.

China left the US market behind in the auto mobile industry and has the power to promote the new generation of environment friendly cars.
