One of the five features is segment-exclusive for the time being, while another was available on the pre-facelift Seltos as well
The Kia Seltos, after nearly a 4-year run, was given a midlife refresh in India. Since its launch in July 2023, we are sure by now you already know what all is new on the updated SUV, including the panoramic sunroof and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). However, there are some small but useful conveniences as well that don’t get to be in the limelight. Since we recently spent some time with the new Kia Seltos, we identified 5 of the lesser-known comfort features on board the Kia SUV and detailed them in our new reel that you can watch below:

Those are some neat features, and here are some of the details about them that we didn’t get to mention in that reel:
Wireless Phone Charging But With A ‘Cool’ Touch
Surprisingly, this is not a new feature for the facelift, and can be found in the older Kia Seltos units as well. For the 2023 Seltos SUV however, it is offered from the HTX+ variant onwards, priced from Rs 18.30 lakh.

Tambour Cover In The Centre Console
One of the minor additions made to the equipment set of the Seltos SUV with the facelift was the provision of a tambour sliding cover for the centre console storage area. It serves at least a couple of purposes: one, it helps in safeguarding some of your valuable items by keeping them hidden, and two, it also prevents dust and dirt particles from entering the storage compartment. Furthermore, it also gets a removable plastic divider that can convert this storage into a cupholder.
All Power Windows With Auto Up/Down
There was a time when a simple and useful feature such as one-touch up-down for all four windows was available on something like the Volkswagen Polo. However, times have changed and as carmakers focus on the headline-grabbing tech, these small comforts have been overlooked. But now in the Kia Seltos, and it is the only compact SUV in India (for now) to get the ‘all power windows with auto up/down and anti-pinch’ feature. It is available from the HTX trim, 1 below the top-spec GTX variant.

Remote Start/Stop From Smart Key
Remote engine start with cabin pre-cooling has become a relatively mainstream feature on premium offerings in the mass segments. On the Kia Seltos, you can do it with the smart key. It is provided from the mid-spec HTK+ variant of the SUV, and can be used to remotely activate the climate control before entering the vehicle, especially useful on a hot day with the car parked outside.
Moulded Plastic On The Seatback Of Driver Side
A common problem that a driver faces with a full car is when the passenger sitting exactly behind them keeps kneeing the back side of the driver seat. In a way to reduce the discomfort to the driver, Kia has put a moulded plastic cover on the back side of the driver seat without reducing the knee room for the rear passenger.
Seltos Engine Details
Kia offers the Seltos with three engine options, including a turbo-petrol and a diesel. Each engine has a choice of automatic transmissions as well, which consists of a torque converter and dual clutch automatic transmission (DCT).
