Amaron Karting Challenge Season 3 to kickstart in Mumbai

Amaron Pro Racing, is a unique initiative from a famous automotive & industrial battery maker Amara Raja Batteries Ltd. The company today announced the kickstart of the fifth regional round of the ‘Amaron Karting Challenge Season 3’ organised in Mumbai. Third season of the Amaron Karting Challenge on 8th Jan, 2011 will get a flag off in the presence of Mr. Mackinlay Barreto who is the Head of Amaron Pro Racing along with Mr. Akbar Ebrahim who is the Coach of Team Amaron Pro Racing.

Over 8000 school students from the age group of 12-16 years will be the main target of the Amaron Karting Challenge Season 3 in Mumbai. By now 9500 students have registered in this exciting race which is far more than the target laid down for Mumbai. Top 30 schools in Bombay were approached for the selection of amateur participant registration.

The option of online registration is also made available to the students which facilitates the  students living in out skirts of Mumbai. Hakone Karting Track in Mumbai is the decided location for Amaron Karting Challenge Season 3 and is scheduled from 8th- 9th Jan, 2011. 54 racers from 9 cities of India will appear for the national finals. The top six position holders from Mumbai will pool in for 54 contestants who will be competing in the grand finale which will be held on 6th of February 2011 in Hyderabad.

The top position holder of of Amaron Karting Challenge Season 3 will be offered a scholarship of up to Rs 10 lacs. While the top three positioned candidates will be grateful enough to posses self autographed helmets of the F1 driver Karun Chandok the F2 champ, VW Schirocco Cup driver Aditya Patel and the GP2 driver Armaan Ebrahim.
