BYD has opened a new passenger EV dealership in Bengaluru in the presence of senior officials of BYD India and PPS Motors. S.R. Vishwanath, MLA for Yelahanka Constituency and BDA Chairman, and T.H.M. Kumar, Commissioner of Transport & Road Safety, were also present.

This is the sixth dealership of the carmaker in India and the second one being managed by PPS motors which also manages the dealership in Vijayawada. It marks the next step in BYD’s entry into the Indian passenger vehicle space for EVs. Spread over 1600 square feet, the dealership has a service bay, trained technicians, an EV charging station, a customer lounge, and a showroom display floor.
Karnataka was the first state to start building its EV infrastructure. As such, Bengaluru is one of the key markets for most new EV brands and for BYD India as well which has already garnered 27 bookings from the region. To know more about it, check out the press release attached below:
BYD India Inaugurates its Passenger Vehicle Showroom in Bengaluru
Bengaluru, India – Warren Buffett-backed automaker BYD today announced the opening of its first passenger vehicles showroom in Bengaluru and sixth showroom in India. The showroom located in Bengaluru is the second dealership managed by PPS Motors, which launched its first dealership last month in Vijayawada.
The showroom was inaugurated by Rangacharyulu VVK Komanduri, Associate Vice President of PPS Motors; Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business of BYD India; S.R. Vishwanath, MLA for Yelahanka Constituency & BDA Chairman; and T.H.M. Kumar, Commissioner of Transport & Road Safety, in the presence of senior officials of BYD India and PPS Motors.
PPS BYD will provide consumers in Bengaluru access to BYD’s pure electric vehicles and high-quality services. With considerable experience in the automobile industry, PPS BYD has extensive reach with its business covering neighboring regions. Residents in Bengaluru will now be able to access first-class products and sustainable automotive solutions within the city.

Spreading across 1600 square feet, the showroom has well-trained technicians, service equipment, service bays, EV charging stations, a customer lounge and a showroom display floor, offering customers the best in-store experience.

The Indian government is targeting 30% EV penetration for the PV segment by 2030 and is aiming to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070. Driven by these goals, BYD will constantly work closely with its partners to provide localized and green products for the local market.
