Bloomberg UTV to present Autocar India Awards

The Bloomberg UTV, AutoCar India Awards 2011 will be held on 7th January, 2011 in Taj Land's End Mumbai which is sure to be a mega event based on the event “Elements of Nature”. The award is given to the best in the category for cars and bikes.

The recognition will be given in various segments and categories to the most deserving and best in the auto industry. The award categories are Best Value for Money Car, Best Design and Styling Car, Best Variant of the Year, Car Ad of the year, Compact Car of the Year, Premium Compact car of the Year, 4X4 car of the year, Best Driver's Car, Technology and Innovation Award, Saloon Car of the Year, Import Car of the Year, Import Bike of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, Viewer's Choice Car and Bike of the Year, Green award, Bike of the Year & Car of the Year award. Other than these various award categories two new have also been added such as the Car Dealer of the Year and Motor Insurance Agent of the Year.

The award winners will be selected by the eminent jury members from the auto indusrty which will make sure to give away the award to the most deserving participant in their respective category. They are Dilip Chhabria the Car Designer, popular names from AutoCar, Hormazd Sorabjee, Shapur Kotwal, Renuka Kirpalani, Automobile Historian Manwendra Singh, Former Rally Driver Rajiv Khanna and the 6 times National Champion Rally Driver, Naren Kumar.

Mr. Deepak Lamba, the Business Head in Bloomberg UTV expressed his delight and said that since the commencement of the awards, it is one of the favourite among the audience. If looking at the Indian auto industry progress, it has witnessed immense growth and various new players have entered in the market which has already strengthen the competition. He further said that the awards is an affirmation of the commitment with the audience for being truthful and faithful.

The award will be telecasted on the Bloomberg UTV on 22 January at 10 pm and repeat will be on 23rd January at 9:30 am. But if this wait is too long on 7th January, the car aficionados can watch the rushes of the award which is sponsored by Tata AIG and HDFC Bank.
