BMW launches new dealership facility in Hyderabad

BMW India the luxury car maker has opened its third service and sales outlet of KUN Exclusive in Hyderabad. The other two KUN Exclusive outlet are in Chennai and Coimbatore in South India. The new outlet is more than 19,084 sq ft in area with state of the art 4S facility with an updated showroom which is well equipped for the after sales services. The outlet will provide services for sales, spare parts and Business Systems which ensures best-in-class service experience in both pre and post sales.

Dr Andreas Schaaf, the President of BMW India, said that the company is elated with the new launch in Hyderabad. He said that BMW is doing quite well in South India and with KUN Exclusive facility with position it better. The company is confident with the growing sales and its commitment to rapidly expand in India.

Since 2007, KUN Exclusive has partnered with BMW and proudly owns the biggest outlet in South India. The Hyderabad outlet is placed at Khairatabad and Mr Gautam Gudigopuram heads the KUN Exclusive there.

Mr Gautam Gudigopuram, the Director, KUN Exclusive said that, it has been four years the company partnered with BMW and all these years have been a successful journey. He also showed his excitement on the launch of the third facility in Hyderabad. With these sales and service network it helps the company to reach to its customers.

The outlet is beautifully designed on the lines of Reception at the Car (RATC) and Urban Street Display concept, it is the BMW signature style consisting of Sales Desk and Consultation Lounge near to the display area. The outlet will be showcasing around 12 cars in the urban street display style and the workshop will have 10 service bays which can service around 40 cars every day. KUN Exclusive employees more than 45 people in its new Hyderabad unit by giving the man power training in BMW centers in Malaysia, Singapore and Germany. BMW India is a fully owned enterprise of the BMW Group, and in India it has its headquarter in Gurgaon. BMW Group has already invested 1.1 billion rupees till September, 2010 and will extend it to 1.8 billion rupees by 2012. The development can be seen as the company has set up the production unit in Chennai and widely expanding on its dealership network across country.

The Chennai facility inaugurated on 29th March 2007 builds BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series and BMW X1 petrol and diesel car models holding a production capacity of 8000 cars annually.

BMW India will grow its manpower to 400 people by 2010 and is expected to give jobs to 1200 more in its dealership and service centers by 2011.

BMW plans big as it wishes to establish outlets of international standard in all the major cities of India. BMW India in its first phase of Dealer Network Strategy, 12 BMW showrooms have been set up in the major cities by 2008 end. In 2011, the luxury car maker will expand its dealership network to 22 from the present 20 showrooms in India.
