BMW X1 2014: Aesthetic Uplift Underway

The BMW baby Bimmer is clearly among some of the best welcomed cars in India. Last month, after the sales touched a 1,000 units/month mark, the Company has stopped further bookings in order to fulfill the existing. Down the line, after a makeover of BMW 3 Series, the company plans to rework the X1 by the end of 2014. However, there are no official confirmations by BMW sources, still there are strong indications confirming proposed design changes in the X1 that is to be rolled out in 2014 end.

According to sources, the BMW X1 will give preference to a makeover of its aesthetics, drawing inspiration from 3 Series and the 5 Series. Similarly, one will find all the equipment characteristic of the SUV in the X1 besides optional ConnectDrive technology that the Company may propose to install on order. Reports are also coming in that BMW may also roll out a hybrid version of the X1 as well.

All in all, the BMW X1 will be a blend of style and luxury and will aim at giving good answer to the critics who rated the existing interiors as lacking luster and feel akin to a BMW. Similarly, the 1 series hatchback will find its new and reworked front end, raised driving position, and a little taller rear end. There are also unconfirmed reports about the Company's plans to make the rear a three-seater compatible but following space constraints we cannot bank on such an attempt by BMW. We will be tracking every strain about the design changes in BMW X1, but for what really comes out in 2014, we will have to wait and watch.
