BMW is back into the news with the all-new BMW X6 crossover with tuned engine for better performance. However, the makeover doesn’t seem to be much on the exteriors in the new crossover. The X6 M550d will have a more powerful engine under the hood to deliver a punch of power and better torque this time. Not that, it was a dull performer earlier. But the new version BMW X6 M550d will have a diesel engine with three turbochargers. While the tri-turbo diesel motor is expected to generate some extraordinary power and torque, the fuel efficiency is also expected to improve on the fast moving car.

So, the new BMW X6 crossover is expected to be more aggressive than the outgoing X6 series. As it is the car has a 6.0 L TDI diesel engine to churn out a phenomenal power of 500 bhp and a unmatched torque output of 1000 Nm. The powerful car is literally unparalleled in the segment which zooms through the roads to cover the 0-100 km in just 5.5 second. The 1750 rpm is enough to get the car moving at full speed. So, one can easily expect the new car to beat its own scores with the new tweaked engine. Unfortunately, BMW hasn’t revealed much on the subject, except for a teaser video that shows the new version covering the roads in leaps and bounds.

The video is blurred out in the places where the car exteriors are featured, leaving us to guess what the new BMW X6 might look like. However, all the frills will be included in the makeover to keep up with the BMW stature. The M badged cars from BMW usually stand apart from the rest of the BMW cars with altered engines and transmissions and the M550d is no different. Its only after an extensive testing program that BMW introduces the cars for the public use. The M division is doing the similar kind of engine tuning for the new X6 M550d car this time as well.
