Last week, we saw the introduction of a new electric SUV in India, while Honda organized a mega delivery event for its recently launched Elevate. Toyota temporarily halted the bookings of one of its recently launched models, and Kia announced price hikes for two of its popular models from next month. Here’s a quick rundown of all the important highlights of the week.
Honda Elevate Mega Delivery Event
Honda organized another mega delivery event, this time in Chennai, where they delivered more than 200 units of the Elevate SUV in a single day. Prior to this event, the carmaker had delivered over 100 units of the Elevate in a single day during a mega delivery event in Hyderabad. Honda's compact SUV shares its platform and engine option with the Honda City and also features camera-based advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Toyota Rumion CNG Bookings Halted
Toyota has temporarily halted the bookings for the Rumion CNG, due to excessive demands which is leading to higher waiting periods. However, customers can still book the non-CNG variants of the MPV. The Rumion is a rebadged version of the Maruti Ertiga, which uses the same 1.5-litre petrol and petrol-CNG powertrain options.
These Kia Models To Become Expensive From October
Kia has announced that it will increase the prices of two of its popular models, the 2023 Seltos and the Carens, starting from next month. After this price hike, the Seltos’ introductory prices will come to an end.
Maruti Grand Vitara Sales Milestone

BMW iX1 Electric SUV Launched
BMW’s all new electric offering, the iX1, has been launched in India. It is based on its ICE counterpart, the X1 SUV. The India-spec iX1 is being offered in a single fully loaded xDrive30 trim, though it misses out on a few differentiating visual elements offered on the international-spec model.

The spy shots stories this week include two SUVs, one facelifted subcompact SUV from Kia, while the other is an all-electric micro SUV from Tata. The interior of the 2024 Sonet was seen for the first time, while the Tata Punch EV was spotted again with new details.
