Update: Renault Duster has been finally revealed at the Auto Expo 2016 in front of the large media gathering. The compact SUV needed an update for quite a long time and this was the only grand platform to show the potential of the car. The new Renault Duster will be challenging the popular Hyundai Creta in the segment besides gaining the lost market share that was stolen by Ford EcoSport. Check out the dazzling image gallery, new features and revealing of Duster facelift at the 2016 Auto Expo.
Spy shots of the new Renault Duster have surfaced online and the car has been spotted testing on the streets of Chennai. The Renault Duster facelift test mule was captured sporting considerably less camouflage. The car was spied on GST Road while riding on new alloy rims, which by the looks of it, seem to be diamond-cut.

Other aesthetic updates revealed by the shots include the absence of multi-slat chrome grille and it seems like the car will feature a single slat design that will encase Renault’s diamond logo. The headlamps also get an update and will flaunt a new cluster that will be reminiscent of the model that is currently making its round in Brazil. The cluster updates in the front will go hand-in-hand with updates at the rear, as the 2016 Duster will also feature updated taillights. Renault has never been the one to shy away from stuffing equipment into the interiors, take Renault Kwid for instance. It is expected that the new Duster will feature 7 inch MediaNAV infotainment display, cruise control and Bluetooth telephony.

In context of power-plants, the new car may continue incorporating the 1.5-liter dCi diesel engine that is available in 85 PS and 110 PS power options. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed and 6-speed manual transmission. Certain reports have claimed that there is a strong possibility of Renault offering its 6-speed dual-clutch EDC automatic transmission in the new model. An independent suspension AWD system will also be available in the top-of-the-range models.
