The diesel engine of the Ambition variant will be mated to the highly applauded six-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The petrol engine, on the other hand will be coupled with the mainstream six-speed manual gearbox. The words ‘cut price’ clearly hint that in order to reduce prices the new Ambition variant will not be equipped with all the existing features of Skoda Superb. Some non-essential features would be omitted from the Ambition variants which would include the Electric Sunroof, touch-screen centre console, Bi-xenon cornering lamps and hill hold and hill descent system.
