Evo-X launch in 2010 Delhi Auto-expo

Mitsubishi had put on stage its Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X at the 2008 Delhi Auto Expo but since then there has been no official word about its launch. But now, the company is all set to launch the vehicle at 2010 Delhi Auto Expo for the Indian market. The new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will be the 9th generation model and one of the finest with best performance in its segment.
The new model is hoped to be priced at Rs. 21 lakh and above and it will be a race-bred machine capable of pumping out 276 BHP power. This luxury sports car model will be imported as a completely built unit and will be racing against Mercedes Benz CL Class, BMW 3-Series and Audi A4 models.
Its another highlight is a high tech kit known as the ‘Super All Wheel Drive Control’. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, which would be a five-seater, is expected to be built on completely new standards.
It is still to be seen that Mitsubishi is able to generate volumes in the luxury car segment which is already heavily dominated by Mercedes Benz, BMW and Audi or not. Even a renouned company as Volvo is facing a tough competition in this segment and finding it hard to make an effective presence in this segment.
