Exclusive: Renault introduces 85PS diesel RxE Adventure at Rs 9 lakh 16 thousand

Renault India in order to expand its Duster line-up has silently introduced 85PS diesel RxE Adventure at Rs 9.16 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Prior to this, the Adventure Edition was only available in 110PS trim. The Adventure variant boasts more rugged and aggressive styling as compared to its other ongoing models.

The 85PS diesel RxE Adventure gets all the standard feature of existing RxE variant and in addition to these, the SUV also sports front armour with lamps, wheel arch claddings, side body moldings, a set of anthracite alloy wheels and smoky headlight cluster to mention a few. While inside the cabin,  the SUV features sporty neon interior followed by an integrated touch screen MEDIANAV system, lime green fabric upholstery and sporty floor mates with DUSTER embarking.

However, mechanically the SUV still carries its tried and tested 1.5-litre, K9K diesel engine with four cylinder in-line that musters a maximum power output of 83.8bhp (85 PS) and peak torque of 200Nm. The engine is coupled to five speed manual transmission which allows the SUV to deliver a fuel economy of 20.46kmpl. The SUV is capable to zoom from standstill to 100kmph in mere 13.9 seconds with a top speed of 156kmph.  As far as safety is concerned manufacturer has left no stone unturned in making this SUV a tough shield to break-in. The SUV comes equipped with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) that helps the vehicle to stop authoritatively from high speed. While the SUV is also prepared for the worst case scenario as it embraces Dual Airbags that protect its driver and front row passenger from any fatal injury. 

Apart from launching a new variant, the manufacturer is also offering "Round The Clock" celebrations at its showrooms where a buyer can drop at anytime for drives and bookings. Initially, the offer was for 24th and 25th May but seeing the overwhelming response from buyers, the company extended its offer till 31st May, 2014. The company is also presenting special gifts worth Rs 20 thousand which ranges from LCD TVs, smart-phones, tablets to cameras. On booking a Renault Duster by 31st May, one can avail a starting EMI of Rs 8,400 (this EMI is for the first year only on a down payment of INR 6 lakh for a tenure of 5 years). Along with this, company is also giving additional 2 years warranty, free road-side assistance for 4 Years and Rs 10,000 gift cheque.
