Festive Time for JLR

Its a festive time for Tata Motors’ premium car division Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) as it is driving out of the demand slowdown. According to sources, the company’s Land Rover range of models now have a six months waiting period. The demand for these range of products has spurred months after JLR announced its new business strategy in September. In this strategy they disclosed their plans to come up with more fuel efficient products. Before September the company's manufacturing capacity utilization was less than 60% due to 25-30% drop in demand but since last two to three months Land rover range of products have gone through renovation with more fuel efficient engines.

The biggest selling model among all the Land Rover products globally is the smallest and cheapest Freelander 2 and its significant growth is being seen in markets like China. Other products include Defender, Discovery 4, new Range Rover 2010 and Range Rover Sports. In India Jaguar Land Rover sales continued their upward trend since launch in June, with November being the highest since launch.
