Fiat 500X: The Compact Crossover to Debut in 2013

The Mini Crossover has created a revolution in the SUV segment of the auto mobile industry. The car manufacturers have suddenly looked upon the idea of the mini SUV cars, which are being welcomed by the consumers globally and are soon going to be famous. Creation of Ford Ecosport is one such mini crossover example, which was praised by everyone. Recently GM reported about Chevrolet Trax and had a leap in the mini SUV segment and now Fiat Fiat SpA will be competing with Ecosport, Renault Duster and the other cars in the line. The recent launch by Fiat was 500L and now the reports are about the possibility of Fiat launching the Crossover version 500X, which is going to be a mini SUV.

The confirmations have been received about the development and debut of Fiat 500X in the last quarter of the year 2013. The platform chosen for the car 500 was of Fiat Punto and the same platform will be used for 500X. The width of the 500X will be more than that of the Punto and it will be replacing the Fiat Sedici, which is also called as Suzuki SX4 in the global market. The cars length will be 4.2 meters and it will be available in both petrol and diesel engines. The diesel engine offered will be of 1.3 liter multijet and 900cc Multiair where as a 1.4 liter turbo petrol motor engine will b offered in the initial stage. But as of now there are no reports on this new mini SUV car will which may or may not come to India but the growing global market and the performance of the 500 hatchback in the crossover market make some sense of surety on the Fiat 500 X to be launched in India also.
