Fiat Linea T-Jet Comeback to Official Website

Fiat has once again included the T-Jet petrol engine to its line-up, and updated its official web-portal. The company had pulled out Fiat Linea T-Jet of the market when company updated the Linea range in 2012. However, it looks like the Italian auto-giant is all ready to introduce the iconic T-Jet engine once again in the Indian auto industry. This has been the company’s most powerful engine in India and it is expected to power the upcoming Abarth Punto. The car is likely to be launched by the end of this year or by early next year.
The 1.4 litre T-Jet power mill is capable of producing 115.6PS and 207Nm of top torque. The engine is mated to a five speed manual transmissions, which transmits power from engine to front wheels. Fiat Linea with T-Jet engine gets a 16-inch alloy wheels and now has an increased ground clearance. The T-Jet engine will be available on the Dynamic and Emotion variants of Linea. The official website of Fiat has updated the technical specifications of Linea T-Jet, but has not mentioned the prices of the vehicles.
Recently, Fiat India organized a press conference in Mumbai, where company announced its future strategy for the Indian automotive industry. The company has formally opened the National Sales Company (NSC) as an independent entity under the Fiat Chrysler India. This conference finally ends the partnership of Tata Motors and Fiat in India for the distribution of Fiat cars.
