If you think Fiat is sitting quietly, then it is time for you to re-think. After parting ways in dealership deals with Tata Motors, Fiat India isn’t just preparing to open about 130 dealerships, but also to introduce its sister concern, the Jeep brand for the Indian car market.
As far as our knowledge goes, Fiat should have separate exclusive showrooms for the Jeep brand. Grand Cherokee could be the first model that Fiat plans to introduce. But the model that Fiat will introduce will cost between Rs 45-60lakh and compete with Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz ML-Class. Not many are aware, but the company plans to introduce two Jeep models next year. Our sources confirm Liberty as the most-likely second option. This will be cheaper and should cost somewhere between Rs 25-28lakh.
Jeep is likely to have exclusive dealerships and service centres. So, if you are those off-roader or Jeep lover, then it is time to start saving moolah for dream off-roader.
