The five-door version of the Force Gurkha has been spied on at a dealership, indicating that the model’s market introduction is inching closer. The images taken give us a proper look at the SUV’s exterior and interior. Let’s have a look at the pictures.
The five-door Gurkha looks similar to its three-door counterpart on many fronts. Its front end, headlights, bumpers, tail lamps and the snorkel intake appear to have been borrowed as is. The obvious visible changes include the addition of two more doors, new alloy wheels, an increase in length and, as a result, longer wheelbase.
The spotted model gets a three-seater bench seat in the second row and captain seats for the third, making this one a seven-seat version. Force could also provide different seating options, including captain seats for the second row (like the ones in three-door Gurkha) and opposite-facing seats for the third.
The spy video shows the same dark grey interior theme, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment display and manual AC as the three-door version. The overall layout seems to be unchanged, but now, there are powered windows for the second row as well.
It will likely get the same 2.6-litre diesel engine, possibly with a higher state of tuning. The same powertrain delivers 90PS and 250Nm on the three-door model, while being paired to a five-speed manual transmission as standard.

The five-door Gurkha will most likely get 4WD as standard with a low-range gearbox and manual front and rear locking differentials. It’s expected to be priced from around Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) and will rival the upcoming five-door versions of the Maruti Jimny and Mahindra Thar, both of which are set to go on sale next year.
