The American car maker, Ford has now announced to unveil two new models for Europe at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show on March 5. Ford will showcase its full new family of Tourneo people-movers, with the global debut of the all-new Tourneo Courier. The other vehicle to be unveiled at the event is the all-new Ford EcoSport Compact SUV, which is currently being sold in few South American markets. India too will inspect the launch of EcoSport in April 2013 and then few other asian markets will get the vehicle.
Ford EcoSport is built on the Ford's global B-Car platform, on which various other Ford vehicles too are based on including Fiesta range and B-Max MPV. The company had already unveiled the Europe bound EcoSport's concept at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the production model of the car will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show.
However, there is no official confirmation about the expected engine options to be housed in the car, the award winning 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine is the one to power the vehicle. Despite being a small 3-cylinder engine, 1.0-litre EcoBoost promise to produce the power output (120bhp) equal to a 1.5-litre engine and mileage equal to that of a smaller engine, something that India has never seen before. Ford executive vice president Stephen Odell and product development vice president Barb Samardzich will host the press conference on the Ford stand, in Hall 5, at 13:45 CET (12.45pm UK time). Stay tuned to CarDekho for all the latest updates on the same. Cheers!
