Ford India Registers 55% Growth in Domestic Sales for November

Ford India has revealed its sales figures for the month of November. The American carmaker has witnessed a growth of 55% in sales this time as compared to November 2014. The company was able to sell 8,773 units in India last month as compared to 5,661 units in same period last year. Company even observed a growth in exports by 19 percent. This time the automaker was able to export 8,416 cars as compared to 7,070 units (approx.) in November last year.
Ford was able to sell a total of 17,189 units last month (combining domestic and international sales); thanks to the launches of Figo Aspire sedan and new Figo hatchback. They also launched a facelift for EcoSport in October which further helped the automaker in increasing its sales. The US company is all set to keep the momentum going and is expected to launch the new Endeavour SUV at the 2016 Auto Expo to strengthen its Indian line-up. Endeavour comes in the premium seven-seater segment and competes with the likes of Chevrolet Trailblazer and Toyota Fortuner.
Expressing satisfaction over the sales number, Ford India Executive Director Marketing, Sales and Service Anurag Mehrotra said, "Our product-led transformation strategy is paying dividends as Ford has outpaced the industry growth yet again.”
