Ford India has released a notification to inspect a total of 5,397 units of the EcoSport. Of these, 4,379 units manufactured between May and June 2017 will be inspected for improper welding of the front lower control arm, which, according to the carmaker, could affect steering control.
Recliner locks of the driver and front passenger seat of the remaining 1,018 EcoSport models produced between November and December 2017 will also be inspected by the carmaker. Any manufacturing defect, if found, should be sorted by Ford free of cost, as is the case with such inspections.
