General Motors India’s November 2010 Sales grow by 18% at 8376 units

General Motors India, one of the biggest names in world of Automobiles has announced its November sales figures and has registered a stunning 18 percent growth this year. In November 2009, General Motors sold total of 7118 units in Indian markets and this year, the figures have raised to 8376 units which amounts to a striking 18 % hike.

The November sales of General Motors includes 2786 units of the Chevrolet Spark, the most famous creation of GM and the second positioned Chevrolet Beat reached total sales of 2547 units. Coming to Chevrolet Tavera, it showed third largest sales with 1476 units with Chevrolet Cruze offering 617 units sales. Chevrolet Aveo marked 297 Units and its variant Chevrolet Aveo U-VA marked 291 units sales. Chevrolet Optra and Chevrolet Captiva witnessed sales figures of 262 units and 100 units respectively.

The remarkable sales marked in the month of November 2010 has helped the company record a growth of 63% this year compared to last year's January to November sales. With this, the company has successfully crossed its 1 lakh unit mark. As evident from figures above, the major credit goes to Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Beat and Chevrolet Spark from GM's stable. The company has created unbeatable records with it two major jewels Chevrolet Cruze and Beat. These models have delivered best of performance and comfort without compromising on style in their individual segment. As per the India Automotive Initial Quality Study, by J.D Power Asia Pacific 2010, Chevrolet Spark is awarded to be the best performer in its segment with highest sales.

On this historical moment, Mr. P. Balendran who is the Vice President of GM India commented that the major credit of this remarkable success goes to Chevrolet Cruze, Beat and Spark. These models have received huge response from market and thus are best performers in GM India's portfolio. He also said that company has good network of dealership which has helped them to reach the customers effectively. With this big triumph, GM in a few months will complete its 100 years of its successful operations globally. This can only mean one thing, Celebration.
