Hennessey, the American hypercar manufacturer and performance tuner, have started taking booking for its 600 hp VelociRaptor that is based on the 2015 Ford Raptor. Only 500 units will be manufactured for 2015 F-150 Raptor and it can be ordered from any of the Ford dealer based in America. This Dino was introduced in December 2014 and was in developing phase up until now. Priced at $73,500 (approx. Rs 45.77 lacs), it is one deal to grab. However, our excise duties will only push its price to double, close to the Porsche Cayenne or Audi Q7s.
This new VelociRaptor is a supercharged upgrade to Ford’s latest aluminium bodied pick-up truck. Powering this beast is a 5.0 Litre V8 mated to a supercharger feeding it with 8 psi of boost and a high flow induction system. It packs a max power of 602 bhp @ 6600 rpm enough to propel a 3 tonne truck that have a high centre of gravity. It runs on 33 inch all-terrain Goodrich BF tyres, wrapped around 17-inch black wheels.
The all new pick-up looks pretty slick with that fiery yellow color, gets black fender flares, off-road front and rear bumper, LED lighting strip over the front windscreen. Moreover, there are host of other stuffs that Hennessey have done to make it a performance machine like, it is HPE Engine Management Calibrated, dyno tuned and road tested. It further gets Hennessey exterior badging, supercharged badging, Hennessey embroidered headrests, serial-numbered dashboard and engine plaques. Hennessey is also offering a 3 Year / 36,000 mile (58,000 kilometer, approx.) limited warranty.
