Here’s Your First Glimpse Of Jeep Compass Facelift’s Interior

The instrument cluster looks like it will use a part analogue, part digital setup

The Jeep Compass is in its third year of production for the Indian market and having been globally revealed back in 2016, it is due an update. Jeep is working on a full-fledged update for the SUV which was spotted sometime back but we could only see its exterior then. Now, however, new spy shots have emerged which reveal the interior of the SUV to an extent.

At one glance, it can be made out that the Compass facelift will get a new touchscreen. We expect it to be running the latest version of their UConnect system, UConnect 5. This system, which was first revealed in January 2020, offers screen sizes up to 12.3 inch. It gets more processing power, an updated voice command list, and more interactive features. The screen seen here looks like a 10.25-inch unit that was first seen on the Fiat 500e.

There are buttons finished in gloss black below the screen which could act as physical controls for the most basic functions. The steering wheel also sports a new design and the instrument cluster looks like it gets an analogue tachometer, with the rest of the setup utilising a screen.

Rest of the cabin looks similar to the current model, although it is a little difficult to spot the changes because most of it has been covered. To know about the revisions on the outside and the powertrain options we expect on the facelifted Compass, head here.

The facelifted Compass is expected to be launched sometime in the first half of 2021. The current model is priced between Rs 16.49 lakh and Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom India) and we expect a premium when the facelifted Compass hits showroom floors. It will rival the facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan and Citroen C5 Aircross.
