Honda also revealed that their compact hatchback,Honda Brio price will be placed under the Rs 5 lakhs that will be manufactured in the Honda’s Noida plant near Delhi before moving the excess capacity to the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. The Honda Brio hatchback development mule is reported to have been spotted by many during the testing, near the Honda’s manufacturing plant.
With attractive logo, bold looks of a regular hatchback and sports grille, the Honda Brio seems to be a stylish car to offer more leg space that has been strategically designed in packaging the components to provide enough cabin space. The Honda Brio, with its sub-compact dimensions is ideal to be suitable for a small family.

As for the Honda Brio specifications, it is believed to be powered with a 1.2 liter i-vtec engine to generate a maximum power output of 89 bhp and deployed with a five-speed transmission gearbox. The Thailand bound Honda Brio provides a maximum mileage of 20 km/l; and a similar mileage is expected from the Indian Honda Brio as well. The Honda Brio is likely to be marked as the cheapest car from the Honda’s stable so far, which is otherwise known for introducing premium segment cars in the Indian car market. However, noting the current sales pattern in India, Honda India might have gotten the inkling that brand name alone does not make wonders in sales category. Honda India has been offering its premium models including the Honda city with major cut down in price up to Rs 66,000 and new Honda Jazz re-launched at Rs 5.50 lakhs, less by Rs 1.5 lakhs to ramp up their falling sales. The Honda Brio is likely to challenge the ace players in its segment including Maruti Ritz, Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat, Nissan Micra and Toyota Etios Liva.
