Hyundai is well known for jam packing its cars with state-of-the-art features for its customers. And living up to that standard is Hyundai, out with its latest piece of tech. In a venture with Broadcom, Hyundai is set to incorporate the latest features like surround view parking and lane departure warning in its next-gen cars.
Hyundai will also incorporate Broadcom’s proprietary BroadR-Reach Ethernet Technology in order to remove the need for wiring in a vehicle. The network, which provides a high bandwidth in-vehicle network of 100mbps, will remove the need for wiring in a car thereby reducing cost and weight.
Hyundai’s head of infotainment design Mr. Sunjai Lee said, “The in-vehicle Ethernet network will enable key features including infotainment, lane departure warning, park assist and telematics to deliver greater value to our customers. We chose to partner with Broadcom as they deliver superior Ethernet-based innovation to enrich the driver and passenger experience.”
