Hyundai has reportedly increased the production of their latest compact SUV - Creta to meet the overwhelming response it has gathered. Before the launch, Hyundai had announced that they have booked nearly 15,000 units of Creta, but currently, they have registered bookings for around 40,000 units! The company has also delayed the exports of Creta due to heavy demands.
HMIL (Hyundai Motor India Limited) Senior Vice-President Sales and Marketing Rakesh Srivastava told PTI “When we launched the Creta, we were planning for about 6,000 units a month from July to December but considering the response, we have decided to increase by another 1,000 units from September by working together with our suppliers."
"We are sold out till December and we have decided to increase the output in order reduce the waiting period for our customers," he added.
Adding to this positive report, Hyundai India has also received highest ever monthly sales in the domestic market with 40,505 units retailed last month as compared to 33,750 units in August 2014, up by 20.01 percent. Speaking of Creta’s sales, reportedly, the Korean automaker has sold 6,783 units of Creta in July and 7,473 units in the month of August.
