Hyundai India Likely to Register Record Sales in 2015

Thanks to the recently launched Creta; Hyundai India is achieving a new height in terms of sales. The South Korean carmaker has set a target of 4.65 lac unit sales in India for 2015, but surprisingly enough, it has already sold 4.76 lac units. The surge has been brought by five-months-old SUV and post analysing the recent hike announced by the company, it is expected that the automaker will soon achieve yet another milestone with regards to sale.

Hyundai Creta

Creta has observed a stunning response from the SUV lovers and Hyundai has received 92,000 bookings for it till now (including 16,000 units for export). The magnitude of the response it invoked, can be estimated by the fact that the automaker, at one point of time, had to halt exports and shift the focus entirely on the domestic market in order satiate the overwhelming demand. While the carmaker assumed that the production of 6,500 units per month will be able to suffice the generated demand, it soon realised its estimations were misplaced. Hyundai increased the production capacity from 6,500 units to 7,500 units per month to cope up with the encouraging response. This also helped the company to reduce the waiting period of customers which acted to its advantage.

The South Korean carmaker is likely to relish this news, more at a time when the global response has not been so encouraging as the carmaker is struggling to reach the set target of 5.05 million unit sales globally for 2015.
