The turbo-petrol variants of the Venue are now being offered with a proper manual transmission option, instead of an iMT
The rivalry in the subcompact SUV space is heating up with the debut of the 2023 Tata Nexon. Now, the Hyundai Venue and Venue N Line have been updated to offer advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Hyundai has also made changes to the transmission options for the turbo-petrol variants of both these models.
Updated Prices
It seems the new ADAS tech is limited to the top-spec SX(O) variant of the Hyundai Venue and the N8 variant of the Venue N Line. It's important to note that safety assistance systems are not available in the Knight edition of the Venue. Here are the revised prices for these ADAS-equipped models:

Note:- Each variant listed above is also available in a dual-tone exterior for an extra Rs 15,000.
The Venue is not only the first subcompact SUV to come with ADAS tech but also the most affordable model to offer such features (up to Rs 15,000 cheaper than the starting ADAS-equipped variant of the Honda City), let's see how Hyundai has prepared its sub-4m offering to compete with its segment rivals, including the updated Nexon.
Venue ADAS Kit
The list of driver assistance systems include features like forward collision warning (for car, pedestrian, and cycle), lane keep assist and departure warning, driver attention warning, high-beam assist, lane following assist, and leading vehicle lane departure alert.
The Venue’s ADAS suite still lacks features such as automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, indicating that the current ADAS kit on the subcompact SUV adheres to ADAS Level 1 technology.
Other safety features already offered on the Hyundai subcompact SUV include up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors and hill-hold assist.
Powertrain Update
Hyundai has discontinued the option of intelligent manual transmission (iMT, manual without clutch pedal), for the 1-litre turbo-petrol (120PS and 172Nm) variants of both the Venue and Venue N Line. Instead, they now come with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) remains available. Here, the turbo-petrol variants have become more affordable for the one variant of the Venue not mentioned above, while the Venue N Line gets more affordable as a whole, since it had earlier been limited to the DCT option.
Here’re the new prices for the Hyundai turbo-petrol MT variants:
Venue 1-litre Turbo Petrol
Variants |
New MT Price |
Old iMT Price |

Rs 10.44 lakh |
Rs 16,000 |
SX(O) |
Rs 12.44 lakh |
Rs 12.35 lakh |
+ Rs 9,000 |
The Venue SX(O) turbo-petrol MT gets costlier with the iMT, unlike the S(O), as it now offers ADAS as well which adds a premium over the three-pedal manual.
Venue N Line

New MT prices |
DCT prices |

N6 |
Rs 12 lakh |
Rs 12.80 lakh |
+ Rs 80,000 |
N8 |
Rs 12.96 lakh |
Rs 13.75 lakh |
+ Rs 79,000 |
Note:- Each variant listed above, other than Venue S(O), is also available in a dual-tone exterior for an extra Rs 15,000.
This new transmission option makes the Venue N Line more accessible by up to Rs 80,000. The Hyundai Venue’s sportier version with the 1-litre turbo petrol engine.
Other engine options for the regular Venue include a 1.2-litre petrol engine (83PS and 114Nm) mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (116PS and 250Nm), which only comes paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. The top-spec SX(O) variant of the Venue does not get the naturally aspirated petrol engine option.
Rivals
The Hyundai Venue takes on the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon facelift, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite. The Venue N Line on the other hand competes with Turbo Sport variants of the Mahindra XUV300.
