India Bound Next-gen Ford Endeavour Spied, Specs Leaked!

The new Endeavour went to gyming and is now more powerful

The next-gen Ford Endeavour which was revealed by the Blue Oval recently was spied in Australia. The SUV will be launched in the country this year after the introduction of 2015 Figo and compact sedan in the Indian market. Ford has revealed the powertrain of the new Endeavour but its specifications were not revealed earlier. Adding on this context, spec of the same were recently leaked. Lets roll what we know so far about the new Endy!

Engines?

The new 2015 Endeavour will be offered with a 2.2-liter  DuraTorq TDCI 4-cylinder diesel unit along with a 5-cylinder more powerful 3.2-liter DuraTorq TDCI diesel. Petrol version gets a 2.0 liter EcoBoost. Transmission - six speed manual unit along with six-speed automatic with manual mode. Now, according to the leaked specs, the 2.2-liter 4-pot motor chucks out 147.5 bhp and 385 Nm of torque. And the 3.2-liter 5-pot motor produces 197 bhp and 470 Nm of torque. The 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol gathers 234 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. Speaking with respect to India, we are likely to get the 2.2-liter diesel motor while 3.2-liter can be expected.  

Dimensions?  

The new Endeavour measures 4882 mm, compared to the current SUV, which measures a little over 5 m - 5060 mm. But the SUV has grown wider at 1,862 mm compared to 1,788 mm of the current one and is now taller at 1,836 mm compared to 1,826 mm earlier. Wheelbase of the new Endeavour is 2850 mm.
