India-bound Toyota Vios Showcased- 2015 Thailand Motor Show Live

Toyota’s C-segment sedan entry, Vios has been showcased during the ongoing 2015 Thailand motor show . The car is expected to enter the Indian car market in February 2016 and will probably make its way to the Delhi Auto Expo. Vios will rival the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Honda City and Hyundai Verna. In terms of powerplant, Toyota Vios might incorporate the 1.5 petrol unit from Etios or the 1.4 litre D-4D diesel mill from Corolla Altis. In all probability, this C-segment sedan will fall in the price range of Rs. 7.5 to 10 lacs. Dimensionally, the car stands at 4,410 mm in length, 1,700 mm in width, and 1,475 mm in height.
In India, Toyota Vios has been spied testing in Bangalore, where the company has its production facility. The Thailand variant of Vios features power-plants that have been tweaked to deliver 107.5bhp @6,000rpm and 141Nm of torque @4,200rpm. The engine is coupled to a 4-speed automatic transmission, which comes as standard.
Vios will come to India featuring a smart entry system, automatic climate control, projector headlamps, ABS, a push start system, dual airbags, an Eco meter, theft deterrent system and an immobilizer. The company has made no confirmations revealing the features that the Indian variants will incorporate.
