It seems like  two of the oldest car makers in the country, Tata Motors and Hindustan Motors have decided to give their top management a new life as both of the companies are going from a major reshuffle in their respective top hierarchy in the Indian market. However, the mode of reshuffle is totally different in these two companies. Where the top brass of Tata Motors has been re-jigged by the company management, the Hindustan Motors has witnessed a number of exits by some of its top most officials in the domestic car business.

The country's leading car maker Tata Motors has recently announced the rearrangement of the top brass of its passenger car business in the Indian market. The move has been taken in a bid to tap the domestic talent so that company's sales can be increased in its base market. Mr R Ramakrishnan has moved in as VP (commercial passenger cars) for Tata Motors. Before this, he was working as vice-president (sales & marketing) of commercial vehicle division of the company. According to the new arrangement Mr. Ramakrishnan will now be reporting to company's MD (India operations), Mr PM Telang. With this, Mr. Niraj Srivastava, who is currently working as the head for the car product group, will now be taking care of the international business operations and will be reporting to Mr Ramakrishnan. The cross company strategic initiatives will now be taken care by Mr Nitin Seth, who is currently senior GM of the car product group of the company.

On the other hand, in Hindustan Motors, the story is seems to be quite different. It is now a well known fact that company is going through one of its the worst phase in the Indian market and the trouble for the company has been deepened in last few months as many of its senior most officials continue to quit their respective positions in the Indian market. Mr Ratan Singh, who was working as chief GM at HM India, had put down his papers on 13th of August blaming the poor financial conditions and dissatisfying functioning of this company in the Indian market. Recently, a month back, Mr Romesh Lalwani who was working as an assistant general manager (North Zone) had left his position at HM. Company's managing director, Mr R Santhanam had already resigned from his position.

Where Tata Motors is looking forward to grow even further in its domestic market through these reshuffles, Hindustan Motors is yet to take a stand on the recent quits of senior most officials.
