Indian Bound: Jaguar XE and XF get 5-Star Rating in EuroNCAP

Jaguar’s all-new XF and XE have been awarded maximum five-star safety ratings at the Euro NCAP’s 2015 safety tests. Speaking of the results, the new XF scored 92% overall for adult occupant protection and child protection scores stood at 84%. In the pedestrian safety and safety assistance systems categories, the XF scored 80% and 83% respectively. The new XE scored 92% in adult protection and 82% in child protection. While the scores for pedestrian and safety assistance systems stand at 81% and 82% respectively.
Kevin Stride, Vehicle Line Director, Jaguar XE, XF, F-PACE said, “The XE and XF were engineered without compromise: we placed just as much focus on safety as we did on dynamics, performance, refinement and efficiency, and our stringent in-house standards far exceed the requirements of legislative and consumer tests."

Adding to the safety systems on board, both XE and XF are constructed from Jaguar’s new lightweight aluminum architecture, the platform is comparatively lighter and at the same time stiffer too. Furthermore, these vehicles also feature driver and passenger airbags, side airbags and curtain airbags along with active safety techs like Dynamic Stability Control, Traction Control, Emergency Brake Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing, Reverse Traffic Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition and Adaptive Cruise Control.
