Jaguar Land Rover to sell 250 units by end of FY10

Jaguar Land Rover, a Tata Group owned premium luxury car brand, said that it is expecting to sell about 250 units of its cars in India by the end of March this year. The company has opened its second showroom in India with plans of opening more dealerships in the country in coming years.
Mr Rajive Dube, president of passenger car business unit, Tata Motors, said that, We hope to end up selling close to 250 vehicles, both Jaguar and Land Rover. In the 9 months since we opened our first store in Mumbai, we have seen an encouraging response from customers. Commenting on the expansion plans of the Tata Motors Mr Dube added that, We are pursuing plans to expand our reach to other cities in the country as well.

It is expected that the company will expand its dealership base to cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Besides this the company is also planing to start a greenfield project in Ludhiana. At present the company has a showroom in Delhi named as AMP Motors on Janpath, where the entire product range of its Indian portfolio is available including Jaguar XJ, XF, XK and the Land Rover Freelander 2, Discovery 4, and Range Rover Sport.
The company has registered growth of about 60 percent in the sale of the month of February as compared to the same period of last year.
