Jaguar Land Rover witnesses growth of 14% in February 2014

The initial two months of this year has brought good news for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), as the manufacturer has recorded a growth of 13%. Globally, the automaker has sold 30,487 units in the month of February with an increase of 14% compared to previous year. While combining first two months, the luxury automaker retailed a total of 69,593 vehicles worldwide.
Mr. Andy Goss, Sales Operations Director, Jaguar Land Rover Group said: “This has been another solid month for Jaguar Land Rover with continued strong demand for models across the range in our international markets. Together with January sales this has been a positive start to 2014, particularly given our comparator period in 2013 included the expected introductory sales spikes for new Range Rover and a number of limited edition models.“
The Tata Motors subsidiary JLR witnessed an overall progress in different regions, the company recorded an increase of 44% in sales figure in China; while for the Asia Pacific it's stands to 16%. Talking individually, Jaguar sold a total of 5,300 units in the shortest month of 2014 while the Land Rover retailed 25,187 vehicles, a progress of 13%. In the last year, Jaguar sold around 12,300 units while Land Rover, a brand known for its rugged SUVs, traded 57,293 units managing an overall growth of 12%.
