Jaguar XE Spied in India

Jaguar’s answer to Audi A4, BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class - XE has been spied reportedly at ARAI facility in Pune. The automaker is expected to launch it at the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo in February. The sedan was revealed in 2014 and is manufactured at Land Rover’s extended Solihull manufacturing facility in the United Kingdom. Speaking of India, Jaguar is said to be thinking of local assembly of XE in the country to keep the prices competitive. Additionally, its three major competitors - A4, C-Class and 3-Series all are locally assembled at their respective manufacturing facilities.
Mechanically, Jaguar XE introduced automaker’s Ingenium range of engines. The sedan features 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol and diesel Ingenium engines in two states of tune along with a nutty 3.0-liter V6 petrol. The 2.0-liter Ingenium diesel offers 163 PS/ 380 Nm as well as 180 PS/ 430 Nm of tunes. The 2.0-liter Ingenium turbo petrol puts out 200 PS/ 280 Nm as well as 240 PS/ 340 Nm. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 offers 340 PS and 450 Nm of torque.
The company also revealed their first SUV recently at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show - F-Pace (Yes, it's India bound). The vehicle is based on the company's new Lightweight Aluminium Architecture that debuted with the XE and is also shared by the new XF. Read in-depth about Jaguar F-Pace.
