Jaya Hind collaborates with KSAT AG German to expand in India

Jaya Hind Industries stepped in Indian auto sector to provide the most important component Aluminium Cylinder Blocks in cars. In the wake of expanding itself, the Indian component manufacturer joined hands with KSAT AG, Germany to avail the technical support for the project. The company is already in licence agreement with the KS Aluminium- Technology AG (KSAT AG), which is a member of the Kolbenschmidt Pierburg Group (Rheinmetall Group).
Prasan Firodia, MD of Jaya Hind Industries said that the licence includes the making and producing of engine blocks, bed plates, cylinder heads and other casting for the Indian, global auto manufacturers and for other auto mobile suppliers in the industry. The company expects that the joint venture will commence in the coming first 3 to 4 months in this year itself. The partnership agreement is expected to be in a ratio of 80:20 or 70:30 share holding wherein Jaya Hind will enjoy a major stake.
He also said that the partnership will provide KSAT AG to step in the compact auto segment in the Indian auto market. As a company the German arm was looking forward to enter the growing auto market of India. The venture with Jaya Hind seems a promising deal and will also provide sophisticated production base. KSAT AG initially will be entering the premium auto segment in India. Jaya Hind in the Indian auto sector supply aluminium powertrain blocks to the American auto brand Ford for its popular hatchback Ford Figo and the sedan Ford Fiesta.
Mr Firodia revealed a few other details such as KSAT and Jaya Hind would manufacture powertrain blocks for various other buyers. He stated that currently Jaya Hind holds a capacity to manufacturer 400,000 cylinder head yearly and it is being speculated that the company will increase its capacity to 800,000 cylinder heads probably by the end of 2012.
Jaya Hind in the Indian industrial sector is considered to be the benchmark in the Aluminium Die Casting Industry. When looked at the last five years financial data, the Indian aluminium provider has invested over 65 per cent million in upgrading its technology.
