JD Power: Global car sales to increase by 6 per cent

As per JD Power & Associates the rapidly growing auto markets in the emerging economies will actuate the global auto mobile sales upto 6 per cent in this year. It was being reported that auto global sales will touch a record 76.5 million in new light auto mobiles. In 2010 half of the international sales came from the emerging economies and it was being known that the sales record touched to 72 million leaving behind the previous mark of 70 million set in 2007 before the global recession slash the auto mobile sales.
The reports also quotes John Humphrey, the senior vice president of automotive operations at J.D. Power saying that the total growth in the global economy has been favouring recovery in auto mobile sales. The company is vigilant as the growth is pointing towards stability and increased buyer demand for the new auto mobiles as the economic growth is accelerating. The report also suggests that the California based J D Power, Jeff Schuster, the Director of Global forecasting said that the paced growth of the auto mobile sales growth in the upcoming auto markets in 2011 is the vital cause that the international growth is only calculated to be 6 per cent in this year. If compared with the forecasting in 2012 the growth is expected to be 11 per cent, till then North American and Western Europe are assumed to rebound.
As per Mr Schuster globally the auto sector is seen laddering to 90 million to 91 million in 2013 and crossing 100 million new automotive sales in 2015. Chinese No 1 auto mobile market will roll out 6 million more automotive in 2011 than United States which positions at No 2. It is being highly speculated that China will roll out 19 million new auto mobiles at a growth rate of 11 per cent significantly less from 33 per cent in 2009 and 48 per cent in 2008. In China sales raised from 8.8 million in 2008 to 17.2 million last year. In 2010 Chinese auto market was the top auto industry in the sales volume of sales followed by US, Brazil, Germany and Japan.
As per the report four years ago, Chinese auto market sold 8.1 million automobile which was just half of the US auto market. By 2009, the Chinese auto market topped by rolling out 13 million as the US auto market declined to 10.4 million auto mobiles. It is reported to be the worst in the three decades. In the US auto market luxury auto mobile were around 14.5 per cent of the passenger car industry in 2010, a market share that will raise to 17 per cent in the five years.
