The Jeep Compass has successfully completed three years in the Indian market. To mark this celebratory occasion, FCA is offering a limited edition of the Jeep Compass, dubbed the Night Eagle. It will be sold globally and features an all-black theme inside out.
The all-black theme is present on all parts of the car, from the exclusive ‘Techno Leather’ upholstery on the seats to the accents on the grille outside. It will stand on 18-inch black wheels, a size bigger than the 17-inch wheels offered on the Longitude trim it is based on. The Night Eagle gets a gloss black roof as standard and is available in a choice of four body colours: Vocal White, Exotica Red, Brilliant Black, and Magnesio Grey.
On the features end, the Night Eagle retains all the features available with the Longitude Plus trim. These include a 7-inch UConnect touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, reverse parking camera, front cornering fog lamps, engine start/stop button, and power folding ORVMs. Safety features include four airbags, disc brakes on all wheels, and traction control.
Like the Longitude Plus trim, the Night Eagle gets two engine options: a 162PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and a 173PS 2.0-litre turbo-diesel. The petrol variant gets a 4x2 setup mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic. Meanwhile, the diesel version gets the option of a 4x4 with the 9-speed automatic along with the 4x2 setup that is offered with a 6-speed manual.
Priced from Rs 20.14 lakh to Rs 23.31 lakh, the Night Eagle will be available in a limited quantity of just 250 models.

The Jeep Compass has been quite successful since its launch in 2017. It has been a premium model, positioned a step above the likes of the Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, MG Hector, and Hyundai Creta; while being smaller and more affordable than equally premium mid-size SUVs like the Hyundai Tucson and the now discontinued 5-seater Volkswagen Tiguan. However, it remains unrivalled in its segment in terms of off-road prowess.
