JLR to unveil annual profit figures of 1 billion pounds

India’s top car manufacturer Tata Motors and Tata’s-owned Jaguar Land Rover are expected to reveal their record breaking annual profit figure which is suppose to exceed 1 billion pounds. This marks as the astonishing come back from the luxury car maker Jaguar Land Rover after it suffered severe setback in the recession. As per sources, Jaguar Land Rover is expected to unveil the 1.1 billion pounds profit for the year, in comparison with last year’s profit of 32 million pounds and a loss of 281 million pounds which company encountered in the 10 months after Tata Motors took acquisition of JLR.

It is worth mentioning that the profit figures of JLR are in light within 2 years after Jaguar Land Rover applied for Government support and notified of a "national emergency" in the recession time. According to the report, the gaining of huge profit is backed by amplified sales in the Indian and Chinese auto market where cars symbolizes higher status and quite high investment from Tata Motors in JLR’s new car model i.e. Range Rover Evoque. Furthermore, JLR’s officials said that profit results are going to be highly promising and JLR which employs workforce of 17,000 emerged as another feather in the hat for Tata cars. Also, results are expected to be unveiled at the company’s annual result presentation ceremony.

It should be noted that JLR gained net profit figure of 734 million pounds from April to December 31, 2010 and sales figures further went up with the flag bearer Land Rover. Also In March 2011, company sold highest number of Land Rovers in the UK compared to sales in any month in the company's history. However, as per reports, Land Rover attained the record sales figure in the month of March in China and India, with amplification of 33 percent and 61 percent respectively. Also, Jaguar further gained 70 percent rise in sales in Russian and a 49 percent increment in Germany.
