It not only gets aesthetically pleasing updates but also a practical feature addition
-
The Anniversary Edition Seltos is based on the second-to-top HTX variant in Seltos’s HT Line (Tech Line).
-
You will have to shell out a premium of Rs 41,000 over the regular HTX variant.
-
It gets remote engine start for both automatic and manual variants.
-
It gets tangerine (orange) inserts on the front and rear bumper, a new side skid plate, and a new alloy wheel colour to set it apart.
-
Interior gets all-black theme and a new quilted leatherette upholstery design.
-
You can choose between three dual-tone colours and one monotone colour.
-
The Anniversary Edition Seltos is limited to a production run of 6,000 units.
Celebrating one year of the Seltos in India, Kia Motors has launched an Anniversary Edition of the compact SUV. It is based on the HTX variant of the Seltos and is priced from Rs 13.75 lakh to Rs 14.85 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom India). The HTX is second to the range-topping HTX+ variant in the Seltos Tech Line trim.
The Anniversary Edition variant is only available with the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, like the HTX variant. If you are looking for an automatic, your only option here is the CVT with the 1.5-litre petrol engine. But the one addition here over the regular HTX variant is remote engine start (through the key fob) for both manual and automatic variants. This feature was previously available from the HTX+ variant onwards, and only on the automatic variants of the Seltos.

For further distinction, Kia has given the Anniversary Edition a bunch of cosmetic updates. The front air dam now has a two-tone colour scheme and the fog lamps have been given tangerine coloured bezels. The tangerine theme is evident at the rear too with two fake exhaust-like bezels on the bumper. While these might be fake, they massively add to the style quotient of the Seltos. All of this has also resulted in a 60mm increase in length.
From the side, the Seltos now gets a new silver cladding with tangerine inserts and the Setlos moniker on top. But the best cosmetic update in our opinion is the new raven black 17-inch alloy wheel colour. Kia is also offering a new quilted seat design finished in leatherette which looks quite good with the all-black cabin. The regular HTX variant gets a dual-tone themed cabin.
To further distinguish the Anniversary Edition Seltos, Kia has also thrown in three dual-tone colour schemes into the mix: Glacier White Pearl with Aurora Black Pearl, Steel Silver with Aurora Black Pearl, and Gravity Grey with Aurora Black Pearl. It can also be had in a standalone Aurora Black Pearl shade.
In our opinion, the Anniversary Edition of the Seltos looks better than the GT Line variants as well and it's a shame that Kia is only offering it in the mid-spec HTX variant and will only be making 6,000 units. So if you’re interested, we suggest you book one at the earliest.
