Update (21/07/2023): Kia has launched the facelifted Seltos in India with prices starting at Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Kia Seltos facelift broke cover in India recently, as the first significant update for the compact SUV in its nearly 4-year run in our market. Kia will be offering it in three broad variant lines: Tech (HT) Line, GT Line, and X-Line. Bookings for the refreshed Seltos are set to open from July 14. We have now got our hands on some images of the facelifted Seltos arriving at dealerships in time for you to check it out in person before the launch.
Details Of The Model Pictured
In our exclusive images, we can see that the SUV pictured was finished in the new ‘Pewter Olive’ paint option. It was the higher-spec GTX+ variant as suggested by the ‘GT Line’ badge on the tailgate. It has 4-piece LED fog lamps, grille with honeycomb pattern, LED headlights with DRLs, dynamic turn indicators, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and connected LED taillights.
The Interior Bits
From the interior pictures, you can observe the GTX+ relevant features such as two 10.25-inch displays (one for instrumentation and the other for infotainment), dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function. Other features on offer on the GTX+ include a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, an 8-way powered driver seat, rain-sensing wipers, and an 8-speaker Bose sound system.

More Safety Tech On Offer
Kia has equipped the facelifted Seltos with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, high-beam assist, and driver attentiveness alert. That said, the SUV has carried on its safety features like six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, 360-degree camera, and front and rear parking sensors.
Choice Of Petrol And Diesel Engines
The 2023 Seltos has retained the option of petrol and diesel powertrains. It remains the only other compact SUV apart from the Hyundai Creta to still offer the latter option. Its engine-gearbox combos are as follows:

Launch Update And Competition
We expect Kia to launch the facelifted Seltos soon at a starting price of around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from the Hyundai Creta, the refreshed SUV will also fight it out with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross and Honda Elevate.
