If you were planning to book the Kia Sonet facelift this week, the carmaker will start accepting them from 12 am on December 20, 2023. Bookings will be open on the Kia website, app, and at all pan-India Kia dealerships as well. The Korean marque has also confirmed that the deliveries for the new Sonet will begin from January 2024, except for the diesel-manual variants, which will only start reaching customers in February 2024. For those seeking priority delivery, Kia has brought back the ‘K-Code’ concept, but those will only be valid till 11:59 pm on December 20.
How To Book The New Sonet?
As part of the initial phase of bookings, existing Kia owners can generate a select number of K-Codes. Each one can only be used for one booking but it is transferrable to friends and family who might also be in the market for the new Sonet. Kia introduced the ‘K-Code’ concept before the launch of the facelifted Seltos, but only the pre-facelift Seltos owners could generate the code. That’s changed now, with the carmaker allowing all Kia owners to do the same.
Note: The K-Code is only applicable for bookings made on December 20.
2024 Kia Sonet Key Changes
The Sonet subcompact SUV has been given a comprehensive update with its first major refresh since its launch in 2020. It now gets a redesigned grille, sharper LED headlights, longer fang-shaped LED DRLs and sleek LED fog lamps, new connected LED taillights, and tweaked bumpers.
Its cabin layout is almost identical to that of the outgoing model, save for the inclusion of a revised climate control panel. The SUV has retained amenities such as the sunroof, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and cruise control. That said, Kia has provided the facelifted Sonet with a Seltos-like 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and a 4-way powered driver seat like the new Hyundai Venue.
It has also gained features such as a 360-degree camera and 10 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Other safety tech on board includes six airbags (now as standard), front and rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and electronic stability control (ESC).
