Mahindra and Renault is going to launch its Sandero in Indian market by 2010. The low-cost car was first introduced in Brazil. The car will be pitted in the B+ segment in the country. The design of the Sandero stands somewhere between the European Clio and our own Logan. Mahindra-Renault is believed to roll out a Diesel variant of the Sandero with a 1.5L engine. The family car is a very ‘roomy’ car compared to it’s existing competitors. The rear doors open to upto an angle of 67°, making ingress and regress very easy. The car would thus, be very suitable for an average Indian family. Renault carries it’s ‘roominess’ to the boot as well, with a best-in-class boot-space of 320 litres. If this too doesn’t suffice, the rear-seats are foldable, to provide extra storage-space.
