Mahindra launches its low-priced Mahindra Scorpio EX in New Delhi

The Mahindra and Mahindra has launched another variant of its best-selling SUV, Mahindra Scorpio EX in New Delhi, though the Mahindra Scorpio EX is already on sale at various sales outlets for some time now, and the launch of the entry level SUV is more to bring out the awareness among the people about the low-priced Mahindra Scorpio EX variant. The Mahindra Scorpio EX price is placed at mere Rs 7.59 lakhs.

The Mahindra Scorpio EX specifications reveal that the SUV is a modest version of Mahindra Scorpio.In order to cut down the cost of the SUV, Mahindra has replaced the 2.2 liter, 120 Bhp, 290 Nm, mHawk CRDe Turbo Diesel engine with the 2.5 liter 2523 cc CRDe Turbodiesel engine that keeps the capacity to generate maximum power of 75 Bhp and a peak torque of 220 Nm. The Mahindra Scorpio EX variant provides an impressive mileage of 14 km/l as certified by ARAI and takes 11.2 sec to hit 60 kmph mark, placing it as rather slow SUV. However, with a decent introductory price and good fuel economy, the entry -level SUV is more likely to make a positive mark in the Indian car market.
