Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the financial results for the quarter ended 31st March 2014 and audited the results for the complete Mahindra Group. Mahindra Vehicle Manufacturers Limited (MVML) is Mahindra's wholly owned subsidiary located at Chakan near Pune, which works in order to expand company's product portfolio.
Combined Q4 results of M&M and MVML
For the quarter ended 31st March 2014, the Gross Revenues and income from other sources stood at Rs. 11297.2 crore as compared to Rs. 11342.3 crore in the last year. Moreover, Honourable High Court of Bombay has approved the Scheme of Arrangement for the merger of truck business of M&M’s subsidiary, Mahindra Trucks and Buses Ltd. (MTBL) with M&M. The company managed a net profit, after paying due tax for the current quarter, of Rs 967.7 crore while for the last year, it was Rs. 962.9 crore.
In the Passenger Utility Vehicle segment, the company sold a total of 60,900 units in the current quarter which results in the market share of 43.3% ( not to confuse with passenger car segment) while in the car segment, the automaker retailed 1633 Veritos and exported 8335 Vehicles in the current quarter.
Combined Financial year results of M&M and MVML
For the financial year ended on 31st March 2014, the Gross Revenues of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and MVML stood at Rs. 43256.4 crore as compared to Rs. 43655.3 crore in the last year. The net profit after paying taxes is Rs 3905.1 crore while for the last year it was Rs.3634.4 crore, registering a growth of 7.4%! Furthermore, manufacturer's Korean subsidiary, Ssangyong Motor Company posted a growth of 20% in revenue thereby gaining a good profit as compared to a loss last year.
Recently, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has introduced ‘UDAY’, an exclusive CRM (Customer Relationship Management) program for Mahindra small commercial vehicles portfolio. This one of its kind initiative favours customers to gain maximum from the company. As a part of Uday program, the company will offer a wide range of monetary and non-monetary benefits. The automaker will give a personal accident insurance policy for vehicle drivers worth Rs. 2,00,000, 10% discount on labour and 5% on spare parts, a mobile recharge of Rs. 100 and a unique referral scheme which includes free service coupons for referring new customers to the Mahindra range of commercial vehicles.
