Mahindra & Mahindra to launch three new SUVs

Indian auto market is one of the fastest growing auto sectors globally which is currently the apple of the every auto mobile manufacturer's eye and many auto biggies wishe to invest in it. Indian auto manufacturers seeing the competition coming from overseas are geared up to compete with the likes. The Indian utility maker Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to introduce various new car models and some refreshed ones too in the domestic auto market to beat the competition. As per a close source, Mahindra and Mahindra will introduce three new global SUVs which are code named as W 201, Rexton and Korando from Ssangyong Motors.
As per the sources the Mahindra's high end car price is expected to reach to Rs 20 lakh from the present which is Rs 12 lakh for Mahindra Scorpio's top end. However, in order to maintain more than 65 per cent share in the utility vehicle segment, Mahindra plans to introduce a compact Mahindra Xylo in the coming year. Other than this, Mahindra will also launch the revamped version of its popular car models such as new Mahindra Scorpio on “monocoque” platform and also a newer version o Mahindra Bolero, the Indian auto company's best seller.
As per the report Dr Pawan Goenka- President in Automotive and Farm and Equipment Sectors of Mahindra & Mahindra said that in the present year the auto company wishes to add almost 8 to 10 new cars which will include newer car models on the current platform. He also added that the company will increase the present SUV range from Rs 11 to 12 lakh to Rs 18 to 20 lakh along with three new cars. In the present year, Mahindra is looking forward to consolidate its presence currently to the existing areas such as US and also working on the Ssangyong, the Korean company deal.
It is known from a close source that the Korean auto company deal will be closed by March-April. M&M is also accelerating its brand activities to raise the brand recall, the values brand is associated with and also a brand new “Adevnture” team in the company to feature the new off roading experience for customers. Mr Goenka further added that the company is trying to suffix Adventure with Mahindra as it produces off road auto mobiles for the Indian buyers. One such example is 'The Great Escape' which the Indian auto maker wish to expand from 8 to 10 events a year to 20 every year.
